2022 SUMMER CSA LAUNCH

We are thrilled to announce that tomorrow on the Gemini New Moon, Organic Cures will be officially launching The 2022 Summer Sessions CSA Share! As passionate organic farmers, we are extremely excited and are bursting with pride at the opportunity to provide our local community with nutrient dense, delicious produce! It is important more than ever to support community based agriculture, and build strong foundations with our local farmers. Our CSA share will focus on growing, harvesting and delivering fresh microgreens~ We will be adding edible flowers, and mature herbs as we continue to expand our farm. Maria, our Founder and Head Grower, has over 5 years of experience farming organically and hydroponically indoors. At George Mason University while studying sustainable agriculture, she grew produce for her campus dining halls using hydroponics, and helped lead the operations of the organic gardens and greenhouse. As an avid home chef herself, she recognizes how our busy lives can get in the way of eating healthy whole foods. It is her passion to grow and provide accessibility to these super nutrient dense foods to her community. Did you know that microgreens contain 40% more nutrient content than mature plants? These baby greens protect our organs due to their antioxidant properties, strengthening one’s immune system, to help develop a first-line defense system against viruses.

At Organic Cures we always have Pacha Mama at the front of our internal operations, that is why all of our packaging will be compostable, and shipped to our partners at TerraCycle for breakdown. Let's focus on creating impact together. Let's imagine a better food system for us all.
